Yurara Sarara
「Yurara Sarara」
"Yurara Sarara" is an expression describing the graceful, leisurely descent of a deity. The poets of antiquity sang of the divine presence arriving in just such a way.
The "Yurara Sarara" project is an attempt to project invisible presences—and the sensitivities that modern Japanese people may have forgotten—into contemporary visual expression.
By gazing once more at the "something" that dwells within tremors and transitions, I seek to draw those feelings closer, capturing them as a single, fleeting image.
From here in Kyoto, I weave into film the beauty that the people of old once felt.
